Alessia Cara
At the age of 19, she published her first debut single, Here. The track received praise from listeners and music critics. It was ranked in the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it as 19. Even Rolling Stone ranked the track as one of the year's Best Songs. The same year she launched her first album Know It All, the single Scars to Your Beautiful ranked at the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It was also one of the original five songs. The song was particularly memorable due to her interview with Rap-Up many listeners shared their experiences of doubting herself and learning how to love herself. Cara is famous for including the themes of mental health and compassion and self-love in her songs. The music she sings is reflective of her personal struggle with insomnia and mental health. In a Reuters interview she describes her album as half-tumultuous and half perfected. She claims she has grown through therapy, and encourages others to seek help when they need it. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11th, 1996. In 2010, her parents purchased her a brand new guitar, which she used to discover her love for music. A few years later, at the age of 13 she began covering her favorite songs on YouTube one of the biggest media platforms to prove to the world she was talented and the determination to be an artist. Indeed she covered one of her song Sweater Weather was the track which got her attention by EP Entertainment. They allowed her to compose and record her own music.
